How To Use Godly Words To Train Your Mind
The word of God should and must be the final authoritative decision maker in our lives. According to Hebrews 4 vs 12 'the word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword etc. And God's word will not return unto him void, meaning that what God says, he means. He also honors his word above his name, so the lord is serious about his words.
Some individuals suffer from low self-esteem because of lack of parental validation, abuse or neglect, while others suffer because of constant negative self-talk. If one continues to tell themselves wrong words every single day, the mind will start to believe, and thus low self-esteem actions will start to follow. The bible states in Job 6 vs 25, 'how forceful are right words'. Therefore, we all need a man or woman in our corner to speak right words to us; we all need that mentor to sharpen us. But if you don't have that potent mentor, its ok to positively over yourself. Words are not just words, they are spirits. When you speak negative words over yourself, evil spirits will come in agreement and carry out what you've spoken. When positive and godly words are spoken, angels move and carry out those words. Remember that the bible states that life and death is in the power of your tongue. So, speak the positives that you want to see happen in your life and take action.
Negative thinking and negative self-talk tend to shape your reality. Because our minds are like magnets, so whatever we're constantly thinking will be attracted back to us whether good or bad. And our negative thought pattern often times disrupts the plans God has for us.
So How Do We Break This Cycle?
Well... you have to replace the bad self-talk with the ultimate therapy which is the word of God. Ask yourself, what does the lord say about me? I'll tell you what he says. Jehovah says you are the head and not the tail... you are above and not beneath... you are the lender and not the borrower... Psalm 1 vs 3 states 'I shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters that bears fruit within its season'. That's what the lords says about you, my friend. And there are countless more scriptures that speaks to your self-esteem. Now, reinforce the few that I gave you, and reinforce them in your mind daily. And by practicing this, it will help to renew your mind in Christ.
Remember, God loves you, even if no one around you shows you love. In God's presence, he'll give you business ideas, strength and vigor to do his will and work.
So, start practicing today! because your older self will thank you. And you'll be happy you did.
Heal Your Soul The Godly Way!
Let's face it. We've all been through some form of childhood trauma. Trauma that has been stuck with most of us for years depending on what the trauma was. I don't want to get too spiritual and biblical but as a child of God, it's my responsibility to help someone. Most times if trauma took place in your life at a very early age, and you haven't gotten any help, chances are that demonic spirits have entered your soul and will keep you stuck and drained until you're delivered.
Your soul then becomes trapped. And as you become an adult, you find it very difficult to even function as a healthy human being. The triggers are still there, the emotions of what you've been through as a child are still there, the verbal abuse from your parents are still there and the list goes on. So, you're constantly in a roll coaster of emotions between adulthood and childhood. Your soul is damaged and broken and as a result this leads to a lot of persons becoming narcissistic to protect themselves.
Just as how your arm or leg can get broken, the soul can get broken as well. And a lot of persons become physically ill because of a broken soul; not necessarily a natural illness. Then what happens? the enemy then takes advantage of your brokenness (demons attach to trauma) and cage your soul which makes it very hard to escape.
How Do I Heal?
First, you must surrender your life to Jesus. As the bible states in Matthew 11 vs 28-29 'come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest' etc. True healing only comes from God. You can't find it in your boyfriend, girlfriend or your house. You need Jesus.
Second, repent of any past wrong doings that you know you're guilty of. Repent of known and unknown sins. Be sincere and ask God to cleanse and purify your heart for harboring ill feelings towards anyone that hurt you. Confess it out loud because you need the enemy to hear your confession. And trust me, you'll feel lighter.
Third, forgive those that have wronged you as a child or in your past. Unforgiveness is one of the sins that contributes to soul brokenness in most people. Forgiveness doesn't mean reconciliation, it's to let go of the hurt and pain in your heart. I've been on my own self-improvement journey, and I had to learn how to forgive and move on gracefully. Don't be ashamed of your past because there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. I know it's easier said than done but take a leap of faith and don't try, just do it.
Lastly seek deliverance if you must. If you're finding it difficult to heal on your own, talk to someone you trust, preferably a Godly friend who will assist you in getting deliverance. Or speak to a man of God who leads a deliverance ministry. Trust me, it's worth it. And you'll be glad you did it.
In conclusion, healing is not impossible. We serve a God who specializes in things that seem impossible. Your healing is awaiting you if you just touch the hem of Jesus' garment you will be made whole. So go ahead and start your healing journey today, I'm rooting for you πͺ.
4 TIPS TO ACHIEVE LONG-TERM GOALS!
Believe it or not, we all want autonomy and financial freedom. But there are strategies and technique that one must apply in order to achieve their long-term goals; it's not a hurry come up thing. Some of us all have different long-term goals that we want to achieve, whether it's starting a business, buying a car, traveling etc; and these things are very possible if we continue to put in the work and trust God. In this blog, I'll be briefly discussing 4 tips to better position yourself in achieving your long-term goals.
BREAK DOWN BIG GOALS INTO SMALL ONES: Organize your long-term goals into small manageable tasks, this will make them more achievable, and you'll become far more confident. Don't burden and overwhelm yourself with the long-term goals right away because it'll make your mind dysfunctional especially if you're a beginner. As for me, I don't write down my goals on paper, but I store them in the notes section on my phone which is very helpful. Also, when I wanted to build my website, it was overwhelming at first, but I took it one day at a time. I broke down everything into smaller tasks and said 'today is blogs day where I'll only be focusing on blogs' writing. And over time, this technique worked, and I now own two websites. So, practice this strategy and see if it works for you.
FOCUS ON PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION: Guys! don't be too hard on yourself. Practice self-compassion. Whatever long-term goal you have in mind to achieve, there will be setbacks. Some of the greatest and wealthiest people on earth had some form of setbacks in the past. I heard someone say success is built on failures and mistakes and this is a very true statement. So don't focus on being perfect, you'll leave yourself feeling exhausted and burnt out. Celebrate your small wins with an ice-cream or snacks π . Learn from each setback and get better every time. Remember long-term goals is a marathon, not a sprint. So, keep going. You got this! πͺ
DEVELOP A CONSISTENT ROUTINE: Long-term goals require consistency. I myself struggle with consistency sometimes but I realize that this is important for long-term success. Set aside some time for your daily goals whether once a week, thrice a week or twice a day etc, and stick with it. Use up your calendar tools and planner on your phone to help you stay very organized. Make your long-term goals a priority and you'll definitely see your results.
REVIEW AND ADJUST YOUR GOALS REGULARLY: Review your progress regularly. For example, if you're seeking to start an online business, or you've already started, you have to review your analytics daily and see what your audience is really interested in. In doing so, you'll be able to adjust your strategy accordingly. On the contrary, life can be unpredictable, and you may need to change your goals over-time so don't be afraid to do adjustment gymnastics. Stay flexible and committed to your long-term goals. Remember, achieving long-term goals require sacrifice, dedication and persistence. Stay focused and you'll be on your way.
3 AFFIRMATONS TO BOOST YOUR SELF-WORTH!
Knowing who you are in Christ will take you a far way. The enemy capitalizes and prey on us when we are ignorant and don't know our authority in Christ. And a major way that the enemy prey on us is by attacking our self-esteem or confidence. And yes! we might know a lot of scriptures to combat the enemy, but does it really make sense to know the word and not believing what you're saying? or you don't pray the word with authority? we need to be confident in God. Therefore, I'll be briefly discussing 3 affirmation phrases to help you to break negative self-talk.
I AM WORTHY: When you affirm yourself with 'I AM' phrases, your subconscious mind puts you in the present moment and your body and mind will start to believe these words. Remind yourself daily that you're worthy of genuine love, respect and abundance, even if these things are not yet evident in reality; still speak it. On the contrary, you have to give respect and love in order to attract these things. Because you attract what you are, and not what you want. So, worthy up yourself and believe it; your confidence and self-worth will boom before you know it.
I AM HEALED: It's sad to say that many Christians struggle with sicknesses on a daily basis. Some have gone to witch doctors, while some gave up. But didn't Jesus remind us that healing is the children's bread? didn't he say in Isaiah 53 vs 5 'by his stripes we are healed?' so we have to constantly remind ourselves of his word and the power that the word carries. In doing so, it will build your confidence in God again. So, if you're unwell whether physically, emotionally, mentally etc; repeat the affirmation 'I am healed' according to God's word. This statement will give your self-worth an extra layer of boosting because when you're confident in God, your over-all self becomes confident.
I AM ABUNDANT: Yes! abundance is awesome, but do you really believe your abundant? it's an affirmation that you have to constantly believe and speak. Eventually when you believe it, you start to do abundant things, God will even start to give you abundant or business ideas because you've aligned your self-conscious mind to abundance. You can practice being abundant in many different ways, for example you can be abundant in giving to the poor, praying for the sick, having financial freedom and giving out of the little you have etc. Believing this affirmation, heightens your self-worth because you're standing on the promises of God. 3 WAYS TO KNOW YOU'RE EMOTIONALLY HEALING!
Apart of self-improvement is learning how to let go of negative emotions that you've experienced in your past. Negative emotions will lead you into places that you don't want to be, probably places you won't be able to come back from without the help of Jesus. These negative emotions tend to cause anxiety, stress and possibly mental health issues. However, the big question is, how do you know you're healing? or am I healed? In this article, I'll be briefly discussing 3 ways to know you're on your healing journey.
YOU'VE FORGIVEN: Forgiveness goes a far way in our lives, and it's also important in the healing process. You heal emotionally or win your battles if unforgiveness is in your heart. I know it's easier said than done but it can be done. I've had my fair share of resentment towards individuals who wronged me in the past and it did me no good. I had to learn how to let go and let God deal with them. And it was spiritually refreshing when I did so. Forgiveness gives you peace and clarity; it is for you, not for the person who wronged you. Moreover, forgiveness doesn't mean to accept people back in your life, but you must set boundaries. So, how do you know if you've forgiven? well, let's say a fellow church sister called you a derogatory name a few years ago and every time you go to church, and you see the sister you get angry and roll your eyes wishing her dead. That's how you know you haven't forgiven. But if you feel grace and no resentment or hard feelings then you're well on your to healing.
YOU CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN: Don't stress yourself over things and circumstances that are out of your control. It's not worth it. So, you know that you're healing when you leave your battles and trials in God's hands and allowing him to fight for you. Afterall, the word of God says in Matthew 11 vs 28-29 'come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I'll give you rest'. So, finding yourself trusting in God's unchanging hands is a sign of spiritual growth and emotional healing.
YOU HAVE THE PEACE OF GOD: Nothing is more fulfilling than having the peace of God that surpass all understanding. When you're healing you no longer feel miserable and out of place, but God's peace will over-take you like a mighty sea, and things will start turning around in your favor. I don't know anyone who worries and lacks peace and their problems get solved, so it's important to lean on God's word while you can and call upon him while he's near. And as you walk in alignment, your blessings will also be aligned. God bless you all and thanks for reading! I hope were edified ππ€².
How Do I Know My Purpose?
Your purpose or your calling is God's divine assignment for your existence. Before we were all born, God gave all of us a mandate to carry out; but unfortunately, some individuals died before they completed their God-given work on earth. Having a 9-5 job is good, but when the lord reveals his purpose for your life you become far more fulfilled and now, you're able to have an impact on someone else's life. Remember one way in improving yourself as a whole person is to know who you are in Christ.
It's very hard having a 9-5 job that you're not happy doing. Having to put up with toxic bosses and toxic co-workers, it really puts you in a place of mental distress and anxiety. However, finding your purpose will never allow you to feel this way. God himself will give you the grace to deal with whatever he's called you to do. The lord is sovereign, and he'll never leave nor forsake you.
A few weeks ago, I bought a book written by my very own pastor, Dr. Otis Manning. It's called 'Manna Feast'. It's a daily contemplation book that has notes at the end of each paragraph. So, I was reading day 40 last night, and I came across a sentence which caught my attention, and it says one way to know your purpose is to find something that you don't like to see. For example, what issues in your community affecting you and others negatively? because when something truly bothers your spirit, you'll want to find solutions. This powerful statement made me self-reflect. So, look around, what is it that truly bothers you? what is it that you truly want to fix? how can you make a difference?
In conclusion, it's not worth it living a purposeless life. And some of us will never find purpose until we surrender our hearts to Christ fully. Only then we'll be able to walk in alignment and receive from the hands of God what is truly for us. 6 Tips to Boost Your Self-Value!
Valuing yourself is more than just applying makeup, smelling good or wearing nice clothes; self-value is an art. And it's also an ongoing process. However, for some people, it will take them a little bit longer to reach that healthy place of self -appreciation. One main reason for this is the different levels of trauma experienced.
Unfortunate circumstances, especially trauma has a subtle and eerie way of injecting its head into one's mind, thus, lowering the victim's self-esteem. In this blog, I'll be discussing 8 tips in helping you to improve your confidence and value.
Tip 1 π Get to know Jesus as your personal savior. As the word of God states, 'It's in him that we live and move and have our inner being' Acts 17 vs 28. We need Jesus in everything that we do. True guidance and protection come from God; it's not in our own strength. Jesus says, 'I am the way, the truth and the life'. Accept Christ today and let him order your steps in his word. Your life will never be the same.
Tip 2 π Celebrate small goals. For example, if you decide to surrender to Jesus; celebrate it! why not? When you celebrate and encourage yourself in God, it's a way of boosting your value; after-all, he knows the plans he has for you.
Tip 3 π Start a Business. You have to start from somewhere. And it doesn't have to be a physical business where you have to pay an exorbitant amount of funds for rental space but learn to monetize your gifts. You can start by promoting something you're good at. Not only being good at it; but does it solve a problem. If it does, ask yourself, how can I market this gift to reach the right people. Know your worth and place the right pricing on it.
Tip 4 π Be Empathetic. Empathy goes a far way. Learn to put yourself in someone else's shoes and try to feel what they're feeling. We all need a safe space to share our thoughts and feelings, but not to express those thoughts to just anyone knowing that they will mock and use it against us. So, we all would like empathy. But it begins with you.
Tip 5 π Set Boundaries. Setting boundaries is a way of teaching someone how to respect and treat you. Without boundaries, even persons who are close to you will treat you poorly. An example of boundary setting is saying, 'no' ποΈto anything that makes you feel out of place or uncomfortable. Say no! and mean it.
Tip 6 π Forgive Yourself. I know sometimes it's easier to forgive someone than yourself, because when you roll back the curtains and see your past mistakes; it's like you can't believe that you sat back and allowed that situation to happen. But you have to forgive yourself. Accept your wrongdoing or doings in any past situations and ask yourself 'what have I learnt from this?' and move forward. And if you're not learning from your mistakes, whether past or present, then something is desperately wrong.
In practicing these tips daily, you'll be well on your way in achieving your best self. Becoming and being the best version of you will attract the right people in your life. I'm rooting for you! π

Manna Feast for Daily Contemplations!
As the word of God states, "man cannot live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God". As physical food is needed to strengthen the human body for daily functions, the spiritual man also needs to be fed with the word of God. Our spirit man needs daily spiritual food in empowering our walk with the lord.
So, I would like to introduce you to this wonderful book called "Manna Feast" written by my pastor, Dr. Otis Manning. I just started reading this book after I came home from church today and it has already been a blessing to my spirit.
I love this book because it's to the point and very straightforward; it's a daily meditation guide. It also engages the reader at the end of each contemplation paragraph, meaning that the author (my pastor) tries to keep the readers alert in asking rhetorical questions which in my opinion, is very strategic because it builds your spiritual mindset. These questions make you think.
So, I'd love to share my day 1 contemplation with you, my readers. For day 1, it talks about our limits that we place on God. Ephesians 3 vs 20 is the scripture used to describe the limitlessness of God. The writer states that we're unable to receive fully from the hands of God because of the limits we place on the Almighty. Our minds can't comprehend how God works, so it keeps us stuck. Brothers and sisters, there's no limits to God.
Just last night, I was in my room talking to myself and engaging the holy spirit and I said myself, I'm not going to limit my affiliate marketing business to only home decor when I know God is a big God. And here I am, as soon as I popped opened the book, I was reading about the same thing. So, the holy spirit bore witness.
I was once at that place where I limited God and myself. But not anymore. I finally know who I am in Christ. I had a vision for myself, and I am working towards it. I now own two websites: I'm a paid content writer and also a crypto currency investor. When I removed the limits, God showed me that anything is possible.
So, I'm encouraging someone today. As the bible states, 'man cannot live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God'. We all need daily devotionals like these to help us along the way. So, friends don't give up! keep going! Jesus will take you to the other side.
This book is already adding value to my spiritual walk. So, I'm not keeping it to myself. I know it'll do the same for you. If you wish to support my work, here is my Amazon affiliate link https://amzn.to/4gn0Wc8 for purchase of the book. When you my readers make purchases via my link, I earn commissions which encourages me to keep going. I just need to know someone is being helped.
Thanks for reading! Walk good! π
